One of the media in globalization era in teaching speaking is video YouTube. Learning English by using YouTube will get a lot of benefits, learn the proper pronunciation of a word in a foreign language and make the material more quickly understandable. Therefore, I believe that the video YouTube could help the students improve speaking ability. In this case, the writer tried to know the effectiveness of using Video YouTube in teaching speaking. The formulation of the research problems are: 1) how is the students score in speaking before being taught by using video YouTube? 2) How is the students score in speaking after being taught by using video YouTube? 3) Is there any significant difference score of the students before being taught by using video and after being taught by using video YouTube? The purpose of the study are to: 1) find out the students speaking score before being taught by using video YouTube 2) Find out the students speaking score after being taught by using video YouTube 3) Find out significant difference score before and after being taught by using video YouTube. Research method: 1) the research design is pre-experimental design using quantitative approach. 2) The population of this study was all students of MTs PSM Mirigambar Tulungagung. 3) The sample was Vlll A class consist of 16 students. 4) The research instruments was test (pre-test and post-test). 5) The data analysis of research is T-Test. The research finding in this research is the mean score of speaking before being taught by using video YouTube is enough because the mean score of 16 students is After getting treatment, the mean score of speaking ability is based on the criteria of the students' score is good score it was improved, with the t-test analysis that used by researcher, the result of t Count is by comparing the t Table that she has got in spss 16.0, T Count and value of t Table on the score table t 0, , its mean that t Count is much bigger than t Table ( t Count t Table) = ( 1.753) Based on the result above, the alternative hypothesis (H a) that states there is significant difference of students speaking ability by using video YouTube is accepted, while the null hypothesis (H 0) that states there is no significant difference of students speaking ability by video YouTube is rejected. It was concluded that video YouTube is effective media to improve the students speaking ability, especially at the second grade of MTs PSM Mirigambar Tulungagung. ABSTRAK Yunita, Lia Selfia. Salah satu media pengajaran di era globalisasi saat ini adalah video YouTube. Dalam pengajaran Bahasa inggris dengan menggunakan video YouTube akan banyak manfaatnya, pembelajaran pengucapan bahasa asing akan lebih tepat, selain itu materi akan lebih dengan cepat dipahami. Oleh karena itu, saya percaya bahwa media ini dapat membantu siswa untuk memperbaiki kemampuan berbicara siswa. Dalam kasus ini penulis mencoba untuk mengetahui keefektifan menggunakan video YouTube dalam pembelajaran berbicara siswa. Rumusan masalah penelitian sebagai berikut: 1) Bagaimana nilai siswa dalam berbicara sebelum menggunakan video youtube? 2) Bagaimana nilai siswa dalam berbicara setelah menggunakan video youtube? 3) Adakah perbedaan yang significant antara sebelum dan sesudah diajar menggunakan video YouTube? Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) Untuk mengethui kemampuan berbicara siswa sebelum diajar menggunakan video YouTube 2) Untuk mengethui kemampuan berbicara siswa setelah diajar menggunakan video YouTube 3) Untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan sebelum dan sesudah diajar menggunakan video YouTube. Metodologi penelitian: 1) Desain penelitian ini menggunakan preexperimental menggunakan pendekatan kuantitative. 2) Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua siswa MTs PSM Mirigambar Tulungagung. 3) Sample penelitian adalah kelas VII A yang terdiri 16 siswa 4) Instrument penelitian ini adalah tes (pre-test dan post-test) 5) Analisis data penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan T-test. Temuan penelitian di dalam penelitian ini adalah nilai rata-rata dari kemampuan berbicara siswa sebelum menggunakan media video YouTube adalah cukup karena rata-rata nilai dari 16 siswa adalah Setelah memperoleh perlakuan nilai kemampuan berbicara siswa adalah berdasarkan kriteria penilaian siswa, nilai meningkat menjadi bagus, dengan analisis t-test yang digunakan peneliti hasil, t Count dibandingkan dengan t Table yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan spss 16.0, T Count dan nilai t Table (0.01) 1.753, kita tahu bahwa t Count lebih besar dari t Table ( t Count t Table) = ( 1.753). Berdasarkan pada hasil diatas hipotesis alternative (H a) bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan pada kemampun berbicara siswa menggunakan media video YouTube maka (H a) diterima, sedangkan hipotesis null (H 0) bahwa tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan pada pada kemampun berbicara siswa menggunakan media video YouTube maka (H 0) ditolak. Kesimpulannya, media video YouTube adalah media yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa, Khususnya untuk siswa kelas delapan MTs PSM Mirigambar Tulungagung.
